The intriguing folk of Loverman (or James de Graef who also plays with Shht and Partners) sounds mysterious, dark and a bit gloomy. Yet the songs also reflect light, and the deep voice and romantic lyrics entice you into nightly adventures and fairytale-like dreams. The guitar ballads on the album 'Lovesongs' bundle Loverman's love musings, wrapped in a bittersweet timbre reminiscent of Johnny Cash, Nick Drake, Bill Callahan and Leonard Cohen.
